Mainport Fish and Chips - West Haven

The staff and owner of this restaurant are extremely friendly and welcoming. Additionally, it is a halal establishment, which is rare in this city. However, the rice was dry and lacked flavor, the fish was average, and the shrimp was disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food a 2 out of 5.

The majority of my family wanted fried fish and this was our choice. It was definitely worth it! The whiting was perfectly seasoned and the rice was delicious. We also tried the lamb gyro, which was fantastic. The fries were just okay, but not a deal-breaker. Next time, we might opt for the wedges instead. I highly recommend this spot in West Haven. Overall, the food gets a 5 out of 5 rating.

I had never visited this restaurant before, but had seen it numerous times while riding the bus. The food was delicious, the man working behind the counter was funny, and we definitely plan to return. Food: 5/5

Good A chicken and love the lamb over rice. Also have some good basic french fries. 100% good guys there
