The Place 2 Be - West Hartford

Today I ordered from The Place 2 Be. I have eaten here two other times and only the first time it was, okay. I am upset how the first time I ordered a matcha latte and it was made poorly. This time I got a chai latte because well you can't mess up a chai latte. My whole order seems like it was sitting forever. My drink was watery and even with shaking/stirring it up it tasted terrible. My loaded fries were not made how I got them the first or second time. It easily became one of my favorite things. The fries were soggy and only had cheese on them despite the fries usually having more toppings. My waffles were so bland and tough, how can you make a Belgian waffle taste like nothing? Even with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, caramel and normal syrup on them? The worst part is that I had grilled onions on my waffle. I was taken aback. Cross contamination? Plus it would've been even worse if I had an onion allergy. This was the worst order I ever had and will never be eating or ordering from here again. Whoever is cooking/preparing food today, if it's multiple people all need to be talked to due to the quality of the food they made. Is there no inspection before sending food out? Is it okay to just cook multiple things with the same utensils? Are areas not being cleaned?

The food here is amazing the portions are so big don’t be afraid to share entrees!! The service was ok our main waiter was not very attentive but his co workers did a good job at picking up where he left off. The vibes are great music is a little loud but overall I would highly recommend 8/10 !!

Had breakfast this morning at The Place 2 Be and it was such a cute, aesthetic, comfy place. The Philly cheese steak omelette and french toast churro ?? absolutely delish! Reasonably priced and BIG portion sizes. On top of that, the service was amazing! I was greeted and treated by the lovely manager Quiesy/Q (give her a big raise/tip- she's amazing and deserves every cent).If you end up near New Haven looking for delicious, affordable food, and a cute aesthetically pleasing restaurant, this is the place for you. It is WORTH it.

It's a popular place, everyone wants to eat at The Place 2 be, great customer even during hectic mid morning rush. Food, beverages, atmosphere awesome. There's nothing negative to report.
