Bidra med feedbackExcellent service but dishes way too oily and quality of chicken stringy in one dish. Veggie steamed dumplings bland. Most of my companions thought food was fine but I returned home with heavy feeling and am not sure I'll return. But I must restate service was friendly and professional and warm atmosphere.
I ordered some dinners from this restaurant one cause I was in a pinch and had a craving for some Chinese food, I had ordered a couple of dinners from shu looking at their menu, I found that it was very expensive when I got home it was spicy we could not taste the food, so sad to say for this restaurant that has a four star rating is over priced, too spicy, and moderate portions I would not waste my money going back to this place.
Awesome food! Every time we visit CT, my wife and I make a point to visit this place. My wife is Chinese and she said the Dan Dan noodle and Cheng Du wontons are the best we've ever had! Great service with a beautifully appointed dining area. Highly recommend!
Oh my God do we miss this place. We thought it was only the best nearby when living in Hartford but 6 weeks after moving to NYC we haven't found quality, cost, or ambiance. The food here is patently terrific, probably top 2 for Chinese in the state. Seamless service, we never had to wait more than moments for a table, an order, or a check.
Plenty of vegetarian options. I tried their vegetarian kung pao chicken and fried rice with eggplant. Both weee delicious. The kung pao had a strong flavor of pepper and sichuan style. Scallion pancake was crispy. Will be back to try more menu items
