Frida Mexican Cuisine - West Hartford

My wife convinced me to venture in recently, and I'm glad she did. The food was terrific. I have missed the birria tacos since the day we had them! If I was closer, I might have a problem eating here so much!! A must try and try again!

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, stop into Frida Mexican Cuisine. The menu remains me of the restaurants in Mexico and the tacos were exactly the same in taste and quality. The owners are wonderful people and will spend time talking with you if you have questions.

Easy to drive by this place but glad I found online! We were told 40 minutes on a Saturday night for 2 at prime time although there were two large groups ahead of us, but a spot opened up at the bar within 10 so we took that and plenty other bar spots opened up. The menu is pretty large and prices are reasonable! There’s a few mocktails which I appreciated. Everything was fresh and delicious and I felt it had more of an upscale vibe than some of the more traditional Mexican restaurants that just smother everything in cheese and sauce. I would love to go back and order a few things to share. Fajitas were great and I took a ton home! Would have loved to get an app or dessert so I guess we’ll have to go back!

We were a party of 8 and were promptly seated. Chips and salsa are on the house, as it should. Avoid places where they charge you for it!!! I had the Picada Frida, and it was delicious!!! The service was friendly and the beers cold! Highly recommended!!! Looking forward to the next visit.Parking: Plenty of parking in the back of the establishment.Kid-friendliness: We had a toddler and a 5 y.o. and had no issues whatsoever. They were provided with the typical coloring activity.Wheelchair accessibility: WC ramp on location.

We went to celebrate my mom’s birthday as we were waiting for the food to be served my sister in law something falling of from the roof , so she got curios and check what was that….It ended being a mouse who was crawling from the ceiling it ended on the floor. We got scared. She told the waiter about it and he said it’s ok. Nothing to worry about. We find enjoy the food because hair was in the plate . Our experience was awful. Hope the place to be inspected by the city. It was the worst experience.
