Mama Taco - West End

Big thank you to the staff that were on Saturday night because they were amazing such incredible service!

We a family of 2 adults and 3 hungry teenagers ate here last night. We had a terrific time the food was interesting and delicious, the service great and the atmospheres good fun. One blemish however we couldn’t account for what seemed an extra $50!on our bill, but, because we’d had a good time and were stuffed figuratively and physically we didn’t look into it until today when my daughter realised the $50 was the two empanadas we were convinced into ordering by the very jolly waiter who described them as an “off the menu” special. Guys, if you’re going to persuade customers into menu items that are that expensive, you need to disclose the price before we order. Everything about your joint is otherwise so good and a welcome point of difference in West End that you don’t need to be deceptive in getting us to eat your food. It’s now left a bit of a “bad taste in our mouths” for what was otherwise one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time.

The food is a flavour explosion in your mouth. The staff are very obliging and do their very best to accommodate dietary requirements. We’ve dined quite a few times. Very impressed.

Looking for exceptional Mexican then this is the place to go. Food was fresh and the flavours were amazing. Will definitely be going back.

The food here is to die for. I can’t eat at any other Mexican restaurant now because I know this is what Mexican food is actually meant to taste like!
