Figaros Fish And Chips

Hubby had a nice pizza, daughter enjoyed a vegan haggis vegan milkshake and I decided to use traditional fish chips. everything cooked to order and nothing too much effort for the personal.

Bought a vegan haggis supper, a vegan black pudding supper and to suppfishers along with a single fish. everything was freshly cooked and everyone enjoyed its meal. fresh chips on request also cooked. first class service.

I recently have a large fish safer from figaros. what a disappointment. Previously, it was good if they served large filets of quality haddock in crispy teig, but now the fish is thin and small and the teig is thick and soggy and not. completely boiled. the chips tasted as if they were also lying around. I guess the place has changed the hands or maybe they have a new one who doesn't know how to really fry. Anyway, I'm not back.

Have already visited some figaros since it opened and was impressed first. last couple of times we were bitterly disappointed when the broth crumbs on the special fish were so overcooked that we couldn't eat it, the pizza base was black under. and my old enkelin asked why her sausage was wet and slim. I have to say more! Although we live in old kilpatrick, we travel to clydebank when we need a chip.

Partner picked me up a single sausage on way in and the sausage and batter were both raw. Staff member apologetic but after going to check said it’s fine the batters raw but the sausage isn’t, tho how he could tell that through the phone...is clever. Advised I could come down for a new one but wouldn’t consider sending another one out as “we don’t do deliveries” even when you are selling raw pork products?. Ended the conversation with “I don’t know what you expect me to say” well for starters sending someone to me with a refund for starters would help. Alas I will report this to the environmental health and see if you get away with the reply from them
