Looking for somewhere from the rain and enjoy a cuppa and we stumbled over the oak tea room, service was great, like the brew, many cakes or retro sweets in the offer as well as hot eating when they are hungry.

Something like back in the time with oak dressed dining room that is above. Traditional waiter service at the table with matching waitress reminds of the day past. bacon and brie panini is a dream would return

Fabulous C17th Oak pannelled tea roomwhere Judge Jeffreys held court during the famous Assizes. Highly recommended. Go there for the history if nothing else. Don't bring your irritating noisy children though

Cozy place tucked out of the way. Scones for the cream tea were lovely.
