Bidra med feedbackBeen a few months since last at this fantastic venue. It was a Tuesday night and rather than drive our daughter back and forth locally, for a birthday celebration, my wife suggested we pop in for tea. As is always the case, the friendliest of welcomes. I had a local Tavistock Gold ale, excellent, my wife the Wicked Wolf Gin, one of her favourites. We both had the Who'dy burger, which also included bacon and cheese, in a brioche roll, along with French fries. Superb quality. Along with the lovely attentive staff, there is, on alternate Tuesday's, a lovely fella playing piano. We chatted and he played requests. An excellent evening and worth knowing, they offer a pie and pint (or glass of wine) with chips or mash, with veg for £14.95 on Tuesday's. A great offering, accompanied by mellow piano music.
This is a lovely old pub. Stayed for the night, lovely bedroom and bathroom, fantastic food. Breakfast was lovely. The owner and staff were really welcoming. Loved it
We were staying in the village and had dinner here. Lovely country pub. Friendly staff and the food was great. Good portions and good selection of wines and drinks. Well worth a visit if your in the area
My husband I went here for lunch and had a lovely time. It was quiet when we arrived, but soon started filling up. It’s a really quirky pub with several separate dining areas. Our food was excellent and the service was great. There is quite a big car park at the back and plenty of outside seating.
We booked two nights at the pub because we liked the area. The room was clean and presented well. The shower was excellent and clean. The area is great for nature watchers with dogs. The estuary is close, as is the moor. This is a proper English pub with locals and their dogs filling one of the rooms. It has traditional beams and stone floor. Breakfast was a full one and was good. However, I had the mussels (moules frites), these were the best I have ever had. The sauce was just wonderful, and the chef came out and talked us through how to make it. Chips were up to par. No its not perfect, the roads are flippin narrow. It is however everything I would want from a pub and lodgings.
