We really had high expectations, considering the price, what else can you expect. We arrived and we were led into this very dark room. To sit in this room is very uncomfortable, it seems quite small, tight together as if all the tables were close together and it was very loud. The first course was this soup with potatoes, which seemed like soup of salt with potatoes. The saltiest soup I have ever had in my life. Really... Then it was a salad that was terrible just arugula with a big chunk of this supposed goat cheese, it was quite weird tasting. Then for main course was this gnocchi and these fried mushroom pastry thing which were super greasy and over the top nasty. It also came with this soggy spinach that must have been frozen before. I couldn't believe it. The last course was this chocolate mousse. Seemed like it would be from a box pre made. The only reason why I can justify one star to this place was because the hostess was very kind. Other than that, the food was absolutely terrible. Sad but true :
The idea of having dinner in the dark could be interesting. the room is too loud, however, and it is difficult to conduct an interesting conversation so that after one she is quite bored and the darkness becomes suppressive. that is not delicious at all, so that they completely miss the idea of improving other senses. very simple and bold German food without smell and without taste. for what it offers, it is expensive. I'm not going back.
Big concept I've never experienced anything so dark. you could not see your hand in front of your face. a great experience and the darkness really got a pretty understated. it definitely makes them stop and think. they had really thought about the foods to make it interesting, but still in the position to eat. the quality was average, but I guess we were there for the experience instead of a first-class meal. I would go back.
This was a birthday present for my mother: dinner in the dark. they can have their tip (fish, meat, vegetarian. but you don't know what to eat and guess later. a blind waiter leads her to her place and explains. they're gonna do that. first it was a little too much for me. the experience of being blind was an interesting, but I wouldn't do it again. the room was so loud that I got headaches and a normal conversation was almost impossible. you get a suppe, an appetizer a main dish and a dessert. the suppe was actually the easiest to eat and was very good. the starter was an salat with goat cheese, where we changed with the fingers to eat, because it was almost impossible with cutlery. the salate was also very good. but the main court was almost a catastrophe. the sweet were too salty and overcooked so they could not identify what they had eaten. that was so dessert, not bad, but not good. after that someone tells you what you ate. in our case it was not true. some dinge lacked (physalis on our dessert) and others were simply wrong. that was the most important aspect I didn't like. they rely entirely on them and no chance to complain because they just say they kicked it on the plate or then they just didn't taste it right. at this place I felt a bit abducted. I would recommend another place to try dinner in the darkness, maybe somewhere they knew what they eat before they actually eat it.
The idea of having a dinner in the dark could be interesting. However, the room is by far too noisy and it is difficult to carry any interesting conversation, so after a while you feel quite bored and the darkness becomes oppressive. The food is...not tasty at all, so they miss completely the idea of enhancing other senses. Very basic and bold German food with no smell and no taste. For what it offers it is expensive. I won’t go back
