Bidra med feedbackWe stayed at the Berghaus Hotel for 11 days and had half board with a four-course dinner. The cuisine is excellent. At dinner we never had any dish twice during these 11 days; every day the chef surprised us with his new delicious dishes. The hotel offers a wide variety of Swiss wines, in addition to some French, Italian and Spanish wines (we are wine lovers!). When the weather was nice we had breakfast and dinner on the terrace with impressive mountain view.
Fresh Basil Soup is the best soup in the world. The food was fresh. Breakfast was very good. Vegetarian options were available to us as well.
Delicious food and homemade dessert. Just a few steps away from the center its more calm and you have a nice view.
This isn't your typical hotel restaurant! It's a family operated and owned, and the meal may be the best we've eaten in this country. While we had the fresh fish, everything that we saw come out of the kitchen looked divine. Our server welcomed us warmly and served our meal with skill and ease - plus, she was fluent in German, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese. If the weather is good, their outdoor dining terrace will be very busy....indoor seating is quite limited, but we went on a rainy night and were seated without any problem. We will definitely return to Restaurant Berghaus on our next visit to Wengen!
