Bidra med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. The menu is simple yet delicious, with fresh dishes served generously every time. It has become a family favorite for us.
The best Chinese food in Ballarat can be found at this restaurant. I always order the HK Combination special along with a side of Special Fried Rice. The quality is consistently excellent every time I visit. I never have to worry about waiting because I know the food will be worth it.
This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were surprised to find that all the tables were packed away, meaning it was takeaway only at the moment. Despite this, we were impressed with the food, which was of a very high standard for a suburban Chinese restaurant. We enjoyed a steamed dim sim and a very large, tasty spring roll, followed by garlic prawns, chicken with cashews, and satay beef. Like many other reviews, we experienced a long wait (55 minutes) but found that the wait was worth it as the food was excellent. While it may not be on par with the top Chinese restaurants in Melbourne, the quality of the ingredients and the cooking were top-notch.
The food is good. But if he tells you that it's going to be ready in 25 minutes, you'd better believe he means 45 minutes. Every. Single. Time. It's still a 5 star review because I understand how this mans clock works.
Honestly, I've been very hesitant in reviewing this restaurant... It's my secret and if it gets flooded with customers and I can't get my food, I'll kick myself. I guarantee, you won't find better Chinese anywhere.. Even in China. Prices are unbelievably cheap. Everything is cooked fresh, and to perfection. There, I sealed my own coffin. Enjoy it and thank me later. (call well ahead of time for your take away.. As I said, it's all freshly done just for you. The Great wall wasn't built in a day right)
