Our server was great! I think the drinks were just a bit slow, and some were just incorrect. So, the bartender must've been having an off night. But, the one thing that stood out was the smell when we walked in. Maybe mold? I'm not sure. But a distinct stench. The food took a while but was pretty alright.
Three out of four of our party didn't enjoy or like their food. I got a Philly cheese steak sandwhich and the meat tasted very sweet. My husband ordered a well done burger with an over easy egg but got a medium burger with an over hard egg. Our other travel companion got the chicken fried steak, which was OK, but he didn't like the green beans. Our waitress was so nice, and everyone there was really nice, but this is a expensive place to eat, which makes me more critical. If you're paying big bucks for your meal then it should be good. The waitress did very sweetly give us a free piece of cheese cake, which we hadn't asked for, and offered to get a different meal for me, which I did choose to turn down because the service was extremely slow and I didn't want to hold everyone else up waiting on me to eat. On the positive side the jalapeño poppers and deep fried pickles were enjoyed
The food is for the most part really good. It’s a bar grill and they excel at that. What is absolutely worth the visit is the service. The waitstaff is some of the friendliest, most welcoming crew you’ll find anywhere.
Went to the Wellington Grill based on the reviews and ordered a build your own cheeseburger while my buddy ordered the avocado, bacon cheeseburger, both medium. The burgers were both overcooked though fries were perfect and crunchy. It was evident that the servers were short-staffed and preoccupied with the regulars and side work, which affected the overall service experience. Despite these issues, the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant. With a bit more attention to staffing and food preparation, it has the potential to be a great place for a burger.
