Blue Star Restaurant - Welland

I was misled into giving the Blue Star another try for takeout, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The food is consistently mediocre, often greasy and cold. On top of that, my order was wrong - despite requesting no onions and gravy on the side for my Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, it came loaded with onions and without any gravy. When I called to address the issue, the owner's response was unapologetic. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this establishment.

I have been a loyal customer for several years and they never disappoint. The restaurant is always clean and fresh, making it a great place to dine alone, with a partner, or with friends and family. Some of my favorite dishes include the Banquet Breakfast, Mexican Pasta, and Ukrainian Trio, but the menu offers many other fantastic options as well. Blue Star is known for serving some of the best cabbage rolls and perogies around. Whether dining in or ordering out, you can always expect great service, fair prices, and delicious food at Blue Star.

Nice friendly atmosphère. Home made soups and cabbage rolls. Waitress and owners friendly and want you be satisfied. Always careful of my food allergy. Quiet no big screen TV in the dining room which is great as we were ablevto chat and relax

Lets start by saying they have good breakfast, true and serve coffee well. For lunch and dinner their service is really atrocious, doesn't seem like they care who walks in and out, they often don't give you any time of day unless you command it....their food is really bad, they serve this thing called a hot beef sandiwch for , its soggy pieces of wonderbread covered in watery gravey and then inbetween is quite large pieces of overcooked soggy beef that is cold unless you eat it within minutes of being served. No fries or anything, but comes with some disgusting peas! stay away from everything but the poutine if you have to eat here, you ll thank me later

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Staff are helpful and warm. Food and coffee are hot and tasty. Older atmosphere, but clean.
