Bidra med feedbackI was raised closed to North Korea. The kimchi tasted just like my hometown?s, not sour, but could be a little less salty though. Although rice is full of carbs, it tasted good, which is different from other countries? and cooked with perfect amountof water. I like their claimed homemade food without msg. I can tell it?s family biz for I saw two young ladies left in scrubswhom I never saw them in and I guess they are family and Korean in healthcare field. Portion is good. We 5 people ordered oneappetizer and 5 main entrees and shared and had about one left over. Be warned that they may not be good at service since I sawa couple with a baby were not greeted, they did some research of the menu and left without ordering. You can dine in with to-gofoam boxes if you don?t mind. Btw about 1/3 of South Korean are Christians and 3/4 Korean Americans. My mechanic Ki is and Itrust him.
The food at Joon's was very fresh and delicious. They don't use any MSG and so it tasted a lot different from a lot of restaurant fare that you might get these days. If you're in Clear Lake you should definitely check it out. Scrumptious!
Actually surprised at all the good reviews from Koreans. Maybe it was better before covid? Food was far less appetizing than expected. I would have been much better off making bibimbop myself?
Joons is pretty good. Me and my friend had the catsu chicken, with egg fried rice. Although I'm not a fan of the kimichi since its homemade and didn't have that fermented taste, the cucumbers were really good though.
Very laid back restaurant similar to a Coffee shop in design style. The food is served in to go containers it's good if you are on a tight schedule but if you're looking for a dine-in experience you might not like that. I ordered the chicken cutlet andit's really tasty and you get a nice serving of white rice. however, kimchi is not fermented but you can tell its homemade.
