Bidra med feedbackGreat food and nice people. Perfect combination! Always feel good to support a place that makes good food and treats their customers well. We go every 1-2 weeks and never disappointed.<br/
FOOD: <br/ We had come here for breakfast at around 11:00 am on a Saturday morning. When we had sat down, we had noticed that there were a lot of options available to order, along with pictures, which was very helpful considering that many of the items I wasn’t sure of. We had settled on such items as Egg Tarts, Vanilla Cream Buns (With Egg Yolk Inside), Octopus, Fried Dough, Shrimp Rolls, Chicken Feet, Pork Dumplings, and Tripe. All of the food was actually quite good, with it arriving to our table hot (temperature-wise), and fresh. Although the Egg Tarts were a bit of a disappointment as they had arrived to our table cold (I didn’t eat them because of this). Also, the Tripe and Octopus arrived in larger quantities then can be found at other dim sum restaurants, which was a plus as these items were delicious. Also, the Shrimp Rolls were larger, with more shrimp on the inside then I've seen elsewhere.<br/ <br/ ATMOSPHERE:<br/ This restaurant was quite small, with no room for standing when waiting at the front of the restaurant for a table. Also, the décor of this restaurant was not very appealing, with a few Chinese decorations however, it generally had a very old feeling to the place itself, with uncomfortable seating which were all close together, making it difficult for the servers to walk-by without coming close to your own table. I felt as though we were pushed into a small space with very little room to actually feel comfortable.<br/ <br/ SERVICE:<br/ When we had arrived, we had noticed that there was a man behind the counter steaming all of the items as they were ordered, which looked to be a lot of work for one person. However, the service in terms of the items being brought to our tables was horrible. Many of the servers would come to our table with items, then check our sheet and realized it wasn’t for us, then walk away. It seemed as though the servers were a bit confused as to where the items should be going. They also didn’t seem as friendly when we had asked for certain things, and the items seemed to take quite a long time to arrive; definitely not top-notch service.<br/ <br/ COST:<br/ Ordered Items Such As: Egg Tarts, Vanilla Cream Buns, Octopus, Fried Dough, Shrimp Rolls, Chicken Feet, Pork Dumplings And Tripe (All Items Individually Priced) $41.55 (For Three People); Prices Are Much Cheaper Here Then At Any Other Dim Sum Restaurant<br/ <br/ WOULD YOU RETURN?<br/ Although majority of the food was actually quite good, the atmosphere and service were lacking. Therefore, I wouldn’t want to come back to this establishment in the future.
Went to Jade for Dim Sum on Sunday. Two thumbs up, it's worth the drive to Mr. and Mississauga. Great food, amazing value, friendly service, great selection. I will return.
Jade Dim Sum is a pleasant surprise. We went here because of a friend's recommendation. Jade is a smallish restaurant that definitely has a dated look inside of it. From the bright yellow walls with Emerald green tiles to the Christmas decorations that were still up in July, this place definitely needs an update on decor. But this is not the reason you would eat here. Even though we were initially hesitant, as they say never judge a book by its cover. The Dim Sum menu is not as extensive as some places, and there are no carts, but what they do offer is of excellent quality and flavours. We ordered the usual Dim Sum fare so as to have a comparison to other places we've been, and were extremely pleased with everything we ordered. The food came out quickly and was hot and very fresh. I normally like going to places with the carts going around and my wife prefers to order from a menu as she feels that the food is fresher as it is made to order...I'm beginning to lean more toward her thinking and Jade Dim Sum really proves this theory. Price wise I found that they were a little cheaper than most places, which is awesome as everything is really good and you'll probably end up ordering lots. I can't give a perfect score simply cause atmosphere is also part of the dining experience, but if you don't care about that Jade is a solid place for Dim Sum with great staff.
My family's location of choice for frozen dim sum in Mississauga! It's been a lifesaver during the pandemic, to keep dim sum stocked at home. (And of course, fresh hot dim sum is available too) Great quality and flavour. Highly recommend the following as frozen: the shrimp and pork siu mai, chicken feet, salt egg yolk bun, BBQ pork buns, beancurd rolls, shrimp and chive dumplings! For fresh hot take out: Beef balls, curry cuttlefish, stuffed eggplant, steamed mushroom with chicken, deep fried squid tentacles, chicken feet.
