Bidra med feedbackWe tried Cork Keg today for the first time for the Mother's Day brunch and had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the sweetest little boy who gave me a flower. Your brunch was delicious! I enjoyed my cookies and Gravy, but the French toast of my daughter was soooo good! Portions are BIG! I recommend trying them out.
Great experience and a wonderful menu. Pig chop is from this world. I'd put the red fish somewhere else. Only complaint is that the Old Fashioned I ordered used 'normal' bar ice cream and had a Marichino cherry. Hopefully, they can get some handcrafted ice cream and real cherries during the next visit.
The new owners Executive Chef Carlos and Partners and Mrs. Sarah have really left their brand... in the best way possible. The menu is excellent. We had the crab cakes and shells for apps and Shimp Grits amd the Roasted Chicken. Yum, yum, yum... and go. This charming restaurant and welcoming staff cannot be missed!
Came for the first time and enjoyed it.. We are low carb, so the food options are very limited here, which is the biggest complaint. The bacon wrapped shrimps were really nice, shrimps cooked to perfection, but bacon not very crispy, but still good. The fillet was tasty and the sauces that came with it were delicious. The foie grass upstairs was delicious, but was quite small, it was hard to get with every bite. The bartender said she was new and did not know how to say any drinks as unnecessary, the cocktails are not as good as I would prefer, but still decent.. I also have a fairly high bar for the food and food. We also had the special, the Kaprese salad, and it was nice, but could have used more sauce and the tomatoes had no salt so not much taste. The bartender was very nice and helpful, just not properly trained.
Updated closing times: The kitchen closes 1 hour prior to their posted closing time. We arrived at 9:05 pm on a Saturday, website says 10 pm closing. We could not order food and the staff mentioned they’ve been doing this early kitchen close recently. So in actuality, they close at 9 pm on Saturday —————— One of the best food places. I live in Dallas but visit my ranch in Waxahachie on the weekends. This restaurant is someplace we regular. Top notch menu. However, be prepared for awfully bright indoor lighting and poor ventilation. Ambiance and lack luster service shouldn’t deter you because the food is well worth it.
