Bidra med feedbackI took my boys in at 4:30 pm today 11/01/22 thinking they closed at 5pm so we would have plenty of time to order a pizza. I was informed they weren’t serving any hot food. I asked why. She rudely said she had to clean up because she was closing. I asked her what time she closed and she said 5. So again I asked then why wouldn’t I order? She had no answer. Basically, they apparently make up their own hours. When I confronted Leon The Asda manager, he informed their hours should be open until 6 but that they weren’t a part of Asda so there wasn’t much he could do. Companies are not typically allowed to just open and close whenever they feel like it yet this is not the first time this cafe has done just that. Poor poor customer service.
My family and I thought we would try the ASDA Cafe for the first time and have a full English breakfast. Well what a disappointment! The bacon and sausages were stone cold not even lukewarm, our eggs were under cooked and some of the white part was raw. The mushrooms were raw and cold, the tomatoes looked wilted and were hard and to top it all off I found a hair in my beans!! The only edible bit about the breakfast was the hash browns. I didn’t complain to a member of staff as a gentleman had already complained and the staff member was extremely rude and dismissive. We are extremely disappointed to say the least and will not be coming back or recommending to anyone, I have wasted £12 on raw horrible food.
These sort of eateries are what they are mainly frozen and fried food and sort of slapped on the plate. It was quick and edible though and that is all one can say really.
I stopped to have lunch here with a friend, the food was hot and tasty, Staff polite and friendly. I would eat here again.
When I waited to order I heard the assistant complaining to another worker that the cook was late due to being a no show and having to be rung to come in but as we were not in a rush I ordered and had previous okay breakfasts there. My aunt wanted to stay so we ordered. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast and a side of chips for my aunt. We happily waited but when our order arrived they had put it all on one plate for 2 of us and realised the mistake bringing more chips. I moved the few chips to the side and underneath was the most disgusting breakfast I had ever seen. The sausages were rock hard the hash browns had been fried until the inside had gone and they were completely flat from all their moisture gone. The only part that I could eat was the beans and the accidental chips. I fortunately had requested no egg so how that would have come boggles the mind. I told the lady as she passed out table and showed her how dry and hard the breakfast was and agreed and replyed 'i didn 't cook the sausages ' that was all she said and walked off even though she agreed how horrid it looked !! Please avoid the Great Yarmouth cafe in Asda at all cost. We shop there regularly and will never eat there again but the other week had a breakfast in Tesco and it was beautiful so we will now be eating there.
