Bidra med feedbackI sure miss Jaliscos. My torta bread was dry, the chicken was dry. Even the flan was not the same. What's happening?
We enjoyed our lunch. The atmosphere is great. As you can see it is located in an old train station. We sat inside, but there was covered, partially screened seating outdoors. The high ceilings inside are beautiful but make for a noisy environment. I thought our food was average, but I also lived in San Antonio for 10 years, so I might be a bit spoiled. I had a combo platter but would like to go back and try the fajitas. The service was very fast and friendly.
Went with a large group, and it was a good experience overall. It’s a really neat location, and because we made reservations, we were seated in a train car which was more private and nice. The food and drink selections were your average Mexican fare, and tasted good. Fair prices too. Our waiter was attentive and quick with a large group. I will say, the whole place is a bit outdated and could use come work and cleaning. Parking: The parking lot is small and difficult to navigate, be prepared to find street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of stairs everywhere
Easter brunch was not worth $30. We were seated on the train area, the very last booth that was crammed together and we struggled to get in it. The table was sticky, no tablecloth on our table, unlike those around us. Dirty in the train area. Towels on the floor, no one clearing tables. Very dirty wher we sat. Extremely hot. Difficult to get back and forth to the buffet.
The building and surrounding grounds are in need of repair. We were sat at a booth adjacent to one of the old train cars. The roof was leaking a brown liquid in two different spots directly onto the table. When we pointed out the obvious puddles on the table that were splashing us, the waitress shrugged her shoulders, apologized and brought rags for US to wipe up the table and set down under the leaks to soak up the brown fluid. The interior needs a deep cleaning and repainting. The exterior was not much better. Old train ties that were originally stacked up to separate parking from the sidewalk were disintegrating and spilled onto the sidewalk. Its like the owners don’t care to keep up the restaurant. The food is overpriced and just meh. The staff were friendly at least. But many better options available in Waukesha.
