Simply Greek - Waterloo

I really enjoy the food at this restaurant, especially their delicious salads (I highly recommend the Orzo salad). The ingredients are fresh and of high quality. I have been here twice since they opened and also got takeout once - every experience has been just as enjoyable as the first. I highly recommend this place!

I recently visited this restaurant for the second time and was pleased to receive the same courteous service as my first visit. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ranging from salads to pita sandwiches, spinach pies to platters featuring chicken, gyros, and lamb. Each dish comes accompanied by a Greek salad and two sides. While the spinach pie was flaky, it could have used more filling to be truly satisfying. The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful, the orzo was moist and tasty, the salad was crisp, and the green beans, though slightly overcooked, were still enjoyable thanks to their seasoning. At $9.99, my generous dinner plate was a great value. I would rate this experience a 3.5 and plan to return to try the lamb. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I love Greek food ..ALOT. I've been meaning to try this restaurant for like weeks now. I always see it on my way to work and I finally got around to trying, what I think is the best Chicken Slouvaki Dinner I've ever had. I bought that yesterday and had to come again today, because it was that good!The chicken is super flavourful and tender. I had potatoes as my side with Greek Salad. The potatoes are tender, moist, carry a buttery-like flavour, and has a sauce that is amazing in flavour. Just the right amount of salt content. The rice is also very good. The salad is super fresh, light and tasty. Most, quick serve Greek restaurants lack the freshness component in their salads which is always disappointing for me because I am a huge fan of Greek Salad. The dressing they provide compliments the salad greatly. I can't wait to try other things on the menu. They have very good prices. Given the quality of food I've been given (two days in a row)...I'll pay the price! The staff is super nice. I will be eating here as long as I am in Waterloo!

Went into Simply Greek last week for dinner...it was new and I love Greek food so thought I'd try it. The selection was limited as they didn't have some things prepared that were noted on the menu board. Sadly the food was overcooked,.,dried out or mushy.In a word...AWFUL. And the service was distracted and slow...will not be returning.

I happened to notice this new Greek Restaurant in the plaza near the Keg and Williams in north Waterloo King and Northfield. I hadn't had Greek food in a while, there isn't much around this area so gave it a try. I got the chicken souvlaki dinner to go and I was pleasantly surprised it was excellent! The chicken was very tender and tasty, tzatziki had nice flavour, big chunks of potatoes with butter were delicious, rice very good and Greek salad was fresh and great. It tasted authentic, better than other fast food places ie: jimmy the Greek; prices were reasonable and it appears to be a family owned small business which I like to support; so I'll be back!!! It's very basic inside like fast food atmosphere not fine dining or anything but for a quick good reasonably priced bite is worth checking out!!!
