The Cauliflower Hotel - Waterloo

This pub serves the best food I have ever tasted. The staff are fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful. They have a fantastic rum bar upstairs as well. I wish I could stay here forever, but unfortunately they keep sending me home.

The Cauliflower is a popular pub in the inner city, located in Waterloo. While the food is just average pub fare, what sets this place apart is the fantastic live music on weekends featuring talented soul singers. The pub may not always be packed, but the atmosphere is always lively on music nights, with both staff and customers enjoying themselves. One thing that stands out is the size of most of the customers and performers, making it a unique experience.

For just $4 more than their regular burger, the double beef burger was impressive. It was stacked high with fried onion rings, bacon, and two perfectly cooked patties. The fries were topped with sriracha, cheese sauce, and ranch dressing. While it was a bit challenging to eat due to its size, it was full of flavor and textures that made up for it. The pork ribs weren't fall-off-the-bone tender, but they were still easy to eat. The generous serving size included two racks slathered in a sticky, sweet sauce with a hint of smoke. It may not be a fancy sauce, but it outshines what many other venues in Sydney offer when it comes to pork ribs.

A great local for a cheap pub feed. The lunch menu is good with $12 options including schnitty' and burgers. I had the fish and chips which were delicious. <br/ <br/ I'd recommend giving this a go if your in the mood for an easy pub feed.

Really happy with this place. Great food and x excellent service. Staff were friendly and chatty. We both opted for the chicken schnitzel. Generous portion sizes and side salad was a proper salad and not just rocket with dressing. Schnitzel was super yum! Lovely interior and warm feel to the place. We are local so keen to come back
