Ivy's Simply Homemade - Waterford

Pre pandemic I used to stop there almost daily to buy their pre made chopped pasta salad. Post pandemic, I stopped in today to pick up the same. This is no exaggeration, it was PACKED with lettuce, so much so I had to take a ton out and it was enough to over fill another salad. There were TWO slices of chicken breast, and I mean two small slices, maybe 1/4 of a half a breast. There was maybe 1/8 cup of pasta and cheese, and a SLICE of tomato. Not a half a tomato, one slice that you would put on a sandwich. The amount of bacon was decent. I know the pandemic has been tough but 15 cups of lettuce doesn't make up for 2 slices of chicken and one slice of tomato.... Everything tastes great and fresh per usual but the proportions are way off.

I love Ivy. I love Ivy’s food. I love this place. She’s catered work events for me, I’ve grabbed sandwiches here, and best off all- the grab and go prepared food. You can’t find anything like it elsewhere.

Good value if they don’t mess up your order week after week. I’ve ordered from there multiple times and my order has only been correct once. Decent food when they get the order right, but that seems to be an anomaly.

Ivy’s catered my retirement party over the weekend. Their level of service was excellent. They worked with me on the menu, during the ordering process, and on the delivery timing. From the day I ordered to the day the food was delivered, they were in touch to answer all of my questions. On delivery day, Karen coordinated with me and was right on time. She helped get it all set up, had some pointers on the serving flow, and did not leave until it was all ready for my guests. The food was nothing short of impressive. I enjoyed everything I sampled. I am not able to have gluten, so I actively polled my guests on their thoughts. Every last one had only good things to say. Many asked for the name of the caterer. Today is only two days after the event, and Karen has already emailed me twice to make sure it all went well. I would definitely use them again in the future!

I love ordering food or stopping by and grabbing something for dinner. My husband and I had a fantastic pandemic Valentine’s Day dinner from Ivy’s. I was ultra impressed when I was in bed with Covid and my friend lost her son. I reached out to Ivy’s via Instagram and told her what happened. She took care of everything from ideas on what to include to prepping it, filling out a card, and delivering it. The food is outstanding and the people here even more amazing. Thank you for all you do and being such a great part of our community. You are the best!
