Yin's Restaurant - Waterford

Yins has introduced a new chicken burger that is essentially a chicken strip on a bun. Unfortunately, they failed to disclose this change and it is a departure from the traditional quality of the restaurant. I have been a loyal customer of Yins for over 15 years, with people even traveling from Hamilton to dine at the cozy restaurant. However, if this is indicative of the restaurant's future direction, I may need to reconsider my dining choices. Since the change in management, there has been a noticeable decline in quality and this latest disappointment is a sign that it may be time to explore other dining options.

Ordered NY eve supper before noon, told to pick up at 6:40pm. call at 6:30pm stated won't be done for another 1.5 hrs. Finally went down at 9 pm to pick up 6:40 pm supper- still not done, 20 people waiting outside restaurant for same reason, cancelled order. THANKS FOR RUINING NEW YEARS YINS... WON'T BE ORDERING FROM YOU AGAIN NOR RECOMMENDING YOU TO ANYONE! Perhaps if you cannot handle the amount of orders you get, cut them off at a certain time so people receive their order when they are supposed to. You guys are truly a disappointment ..poor Waterford

We have eaten here for years (in house and take out (just take out during Covid 19). I believe there are new owners. We ordered our usual chicken fried rice Tsao's chicken, vegetables with almonds and egg rolls. The order was 20 minutes late and cold by the time we got home (that has never happened before). To add insult to injury, there was a burn smell in the chicken fried rice!

This was a return visit for us. It was great the first time, and even better on this visit. There is lots of free parking in the area. The restaurant was reasonably busy when we arrived, but we were promptly greeted and seated. We selected two different Chinese meals. While we were waiting for our meals, the owner of the restaurant brought out a complimentary appetizer for us to try. It was excellent. Our meals then delivered promptly and hot, and were generous platefuls, at a very reasonable price. Both of our meals were outstanding for taste. When our meal was completed, the owner appeared again with a bowl of lemon chicken for us to try. That too was hot and delicious, and something we will order on our next visit. We informed our very pleasant and efficient waitress that the meal and service was good. She must have informed the owner, who then came out to talk to us for quite awhile. He is a very pleasant person, and an interesting conversationalist. We complimented him on his restaurant, his cuisine, and the service. We also told him that we will return. We highly recommend this restaurant if you desire Chinese food, at a reasonable price, in a pleasant atmosphere.

Very awful and service was slow and wrong dinner we beought to us..not sure whats going on but definately will not go back and we live there..thats sad
