Bidra med feedbackAwesome little discovery. I got some super fresh pitas, some freshly made tabbouleh, some labne, and some pies. Also got some shawarma spice. I tried a shawarma recipe I found online and it was terrible it ended up tasting like an Indian curry. This blend was imported from Lebanon and was delicious, just what I was looking for. They also have sumac, za'atar and other spice blends, as well as canned foods like roasted eggplant, etc. It's a simple unassuming store but carries all the essentials, and you know they're all the real deal. It's a half hour drive for me but I'll be back.
My favorite place to grab taboulli, hummus, and zatar. My wife and I love Mr Noujaim ... There is no better place to go if you want fresh, healthy, Lebanese/middle eastern food! (Even better than Teitas!
The spinach pies and cheese pies are the best in the state!! His fresh bread that the owner/master baker makes for them, truly makes them how they should be made. With love!! If you haven't already tried this bakery, then you better get yourself over there and check it out. I promise You will not be discouraged. P.s. Also Carrie's a variety of other middle Eastern groceries and pies. I just mentioned my go to.
Recently moved to CT and I am trying out different middle eastern places. This is the best place hands down! Delicious, homemade and authentic Lebanese bites. The owner is very friendly and helpful. If you love kibbeh, spinach pies, meat pies, etc. THIS is the place to go!! Will definitely be going back for my Lebanese food fix.
I stop here whenever I'm in Waterbury for spinach feta pitas breads. A hidden treasure.
