Hotel Seekrone - Wasserburg (Bodensee)

Nice location, delicious food, house made, very nice staff. Absolutely recommended.

A few days ago we were back in the sea crown for dinner. The food was delicious as always and everything was fine. Since it was very warm, we ordered 1/4 liter of white wine in the carafe with 2 glasses, so we could enjoy the wine cooled. Even when the friendly waiter filled the wine at the counter in the carafe, we got his staff like the boss to serve 2 x 1/8 glasses in such a case. I was curious for what reason this happened and later ordered a 1/4 liter carafe. Then the waiter brought us 2 new glasses each with 1/8 liters instead of refilling the carafe, we would have liked to keep the glasses. On the invoice we were presented 1 x 1/4 liter at 4,80 € and 2 x 1/8 liter at 5,40 €. We ask ourselves if the host really needs to maximise profit in this way. We are very disappointed in this approach. (not because of the 60 cents) Otherwise friendly and competent service, compassion. Since this has not happened to us in other places in Wasserburg, the sea crown will probably fall out first for us.

To this other affiliate review here at Yelp: There is one who, although the food was good, gives only one star because you need to pay 1€ extra for changes. Scary, undamaged and business-damaging! On the one hand, it is obvious that it is a grim Querulant who is only happy when he receives a special treatment, on the other hand sad that someone can harm a restaurant with a negative rating. Well, it's really tricky that you have to pay for changes and extra bread, but that also has something good: those people who want to eat with free bread and just want to pay the cheapest salad, get the receipt they deserve everywhere. But: on the map there are clear indications of this paid service, so you cannot complain. Fairer than if the generality that a court simply accepts when the cook thought must pay these extras. The price-performance ratio is completely ok. In the case of high-speed operation, kitchen staff will have a great additional effort if guests have to constantly change their supplements. Unfortunately, many important students underestimate this in their egoism. So, now on my review: We were fed to the hotel in a suite and of course to the restaurant or on the terrace. This has a large flair to sit on the terrace directly on the water, overlooking the lake and the Alps. The service was friendly, everything was very fleeting (but it wasn't much off) and the food was excellent, which was also shown in our top. The menu is varied with many regional dishes. I found the big garlic bread and the vegetables. The meat was roasted to the point. I hired pictures of the food. Mouthwater!

First of all, the most important thing, the food was fine and the service(s) friendly. But what leads absolutely nothing and definitely to a bad evaluation is that a supplement, in this case 1 euro, is calculated for the change of the supplements. This is neither customer-friendly nor acceptable! In such cases it is clearly shown what the customer is not a king here, but a cow that is milk.
