Bidra med feedbackBrought a guest here for what was my second visit (initially recommended by a friend of a friend). Loved the vibe and the relaxed, casual atmosphere. We arrived just as it opened for brunch on Fri, 4 July For holiday—lucky us since brunch is normally only Sat/Sun. We both had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Benedict. It was as wonderful and tasty as I remembered the first time I had it. There was an animated group of four seated right next to us, but sound level was fine. The restaurant was out of peach nectar and one other flavor as well, so we had raspberry mimosas instead, which I actually think I liked better. Server was a bit perfunctory in her service, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Very much looking forward to going back.
We had a group of 9 people and they were able to accommodate us the day before a holiday! And we had a great time. They had a bottomless mimosa brunch special, which paired great with their fried chicken Benedict. Our server was so patient with our group!
It's cute, it has good beignets. The food was okay, but the service was great.
I have to admit I was blown away by the steak frites here! Got the basic flat iron steak, but it was tender and flavorful (and comes with three sauces)! And the frites are as good as any I 've had in Paris! Plus you can get bottomless fries! They also do an amazing chocolate pot de creme! Finally, the pricing is a bargain--got away with dinner for two with a bottle of wine for under $150. That 's practically impossible to do in DC for a meal as good as this was! The only downside is that the wines by the glass are spotty. Make sure you try one before ordering a full glass, otherwise you might be disappointed!
Great service, ok food. Steak was well prepared but stringy. For the same price as Le Diplomate, you’re better off there. French fries were delicious but tasted identical to McDonalds. Not a complaint, as who doesn’t love McDonalds fries, but not very unique. Burger was great, salads were great!
