Bidra med feedbackLet me clear the air on the quality of Cafe cantina: you get exactly what you pay for and should be expecting when you go to a bedroom sized pizza joint. The food is tasty, prices are low and service is fast. The calzone is definitely the best bang for your buck here, it will fill you up for $6. Despite what other reviewers said I found the pizza to be significantly LESS greasy than most other pizza joints I've visited. 5/5 it's a pizza joint and if you're disappointed by that go to the place down the street where you pay $20 for a 12' pie.
I work right around the corner from this place and end up eating here 2 or 3 times a week. The price per slice seems steep, but then you realize that slice happens to be a full sixth of a 17 inch pizza and that sense of steepness evaporates, especially given the fact that this place is two blocks from the White House. Find another place nearby that sells a good and filling lunch for Cafe Cantina's prices and I will start going there too. It is I highly recommend this place. If you are visiting or just in the area around lunch time, grab a slice of pepperoni.
Great New York style pizza, at a reasonable price.
