For instance, one time a waitress dropped a chicken wing on the counter and just left it there. She also forgot to put food in the fryer, serving it frozen instead. When we kindly pointed this out, her response was a casual acknowledgment, and then she walked away. It never used to be like this. This place has amazing potential and is a perfect venue for our town to reconnect over meals and drinks as we transition back to post-COVID life. However, on a recent visit, I ordered onion rings for $7 and received a small, disappointing serving—seven thin, frozen rings that looked like they were straight out of a box. That’s about a dollar each! We have been trying to give this restaurant another chance for over a year now. We loved it for the bar, the food, and the service back in 2018—it was the first place we visited when we moved to Waseca during Christmas. The place was lively, with families enjoying meals, and everyone was happy. But now, it feels like all of that happiness has disappeared, and there seems to be no effort to improve the situation. We understand that finding good staff can be challenging, but it leaves us wondering how they managed to maintain their standards before. The owner seems like a great guy, which makes this decline even more disappointing. We keep coming back, hoping to see improvements every couple of months, but so far, nothing has changed.

The beer selection is excellent, and I love the mugs! MUGS!!! The menu is small, featuring just a few burgers and appetizers, which I appreciate because large menus can be overwhelming. This allows the chef to concentrate on the flavor of each dish instead of being scattered. I will definitely return!
