Thorn Inn - Warrington

This was our first visit to the restaurant, and after the third visit, we decided to book for Mother's Day. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I feel like I have to in this case. We arrived on Mother's Day with high expectations, especially since we had booked a few weeks in advance due to a previous pleasant experience. However, we were taken to the top half of the main part of the restaurant, which was empty. We asked if we could be moved to a better table, but were told that it was booked in an hour, even though no one showed up during our time there. The staff member who informed us of this was lacking in charisma. We ended up spending our time in a room with no other customers, and no one checked in on us to see if everything was okay. We had to repeatedly ask for drinks, and the apology that they were busy couldn't be used as an excuse because there was hardly anyone there. I doubt we will return, and I wanted to share this experience. We don't normally complain, but this was a missed opportunity for the restaurant.

Today visited for lunch, good food and excellent service. the managerin jo, makes her very welcome and ensures her visit. even if not locally, in now a regular, enough said. keep them good work jo and good...done
