Bidra med feedbackI'm not sure what went wrong, but I recommended this restaurant to a friend who later told me it was the worst Indian food they had ever had. I decided to give it a try a few weeks later, thinking it might have been a one-off bad experience. However, I was extremely disappointed with the set meal for two. The chicken tikka was inedible, almost like water. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant.
My girlfriend enjoyed her chicken tikka and rice, as well as the poppadoms and naan. Unfortunately, when I ordered a vegetable biryani without onions due to an allergy, I only received half a meal as the biryani sauce contained onions. The rice box labeled "no onions" also had onions in it. When I called to address the issue, they were skeptical but offered to send a new rice box without onions. I declined as I didn't trust them. Overall, I wouldn't return due to their lack of respect for my allergy. If you don't have any allergies or intolerances, you may still enjoy the food.
This is the worst Indian food I have had in a long time. It lacked flavor, texture, and seasoning. The biryani was nothing like authentic biryani should be. The paneer was tough and the mushroom side dish was unidentifiable. I am extremely disappointed and upset with my dining experience.
I 've read a couple of bad reviews saying this place has gone downhill. My question is, was it ever uphill ?! They have a food hygiene rating of 4/5. I 'm not what the hygiene standard officer was smoking that day; The same guy who man-handled my poppadoms that I was later to be consuming was also taking card payments, using a calculator, handling cash, touching door knobs and work surfaces without cleaning or disinfecting his hands in between. I also saw the chef using an old curry stained damp cloth to wipe down surfaces. This same chef may have previously worked in the paint-mixing department at B&Q, you know the bit where you can mix and match colours? I say this because he had a wall mounted rack of pre-made curry base mixes. He either knew all 70 dishes off the menu from memory, or he was just blagging it, grabbing a dash of this and a splash of that, similar to a toddler making a piece of artwork only his/her parent could appreciate. My chicken curry that I ordered was rubbery and dry. They allowed me to order it as mild , but it was the hottest thing that I 've ever eaten. I 'm dreading the next few days as it leaves my system. If I 've got to make the choice between ordering from here again and eating both my arms, put it this way, I wouldn 't be very good at playing snooker.
Ordered a selection of currys for birthday party at external venue. The food was absolutely terrific and they supplied more than we had ordered. Everyone at the party commended the food. Especially enjoyed the tarka dhal and lamb Rogan Josh which had loads of pieces of tender lamb. Recommend them very highly!
