Mr Miguel's Mexican Grille Cantina

Today is my birthday, so we thought we would give it a try, again. Looks like all new staff. New waitresses, new cook, new bartender. The service was awesome. Our waitress was Kia (spelling). We were seated immediately, ordered right away and received our order within 15 minutes. The food presentation was beautiful; the chips were warm and fresh; and the food tasted great, just like I expected. So glad they fixed their problems.

Ordered the birria tacos. Very disappointed. Greasy, extremely dry and had little favor. Salsa verde tasted store bought and plain. Mexican sandwich is pretty decent. Can’t really go wrong with cheese, beans and rice. Had the Chicken added Queso. Chicken was a little dry but with all the cheese it wasn’t too bad. Ordered the Queso fundido appetizer with ground beef. This was excellent and almost a meal in itself. Server was very helpful and attentive. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back. Not authentic Mexican. They could work on the meat and seasoning.

The food was decent, but it did not meet expectations for authentic Mexican cuisine. The drinks were excellent, receiving a 5-star rating. The corn tortillas were not authentic, and the green sauce was called Verde salas. There was no red sauce available. The customer service was great.

I highly recommend trying out this restaurant. The food is amazing, prices are reasonable, and the service is good.

It’s definitely Americanized Mexican but majority of restaurants in the metro area are. Everything I’ve had here has been delicious but my go to is the inferno burrito. Yummy!
