South Pacific - Wakefield

I placed an order at 10:30 but never received it. Are you kidding me? This is unacceptable. If you are too busy to deliver orders, please do not accept them in the first place.

This Chinese restaurant is my absolute favorite. I have nothing but praise for the food here. The only downside is the delivery time, but I attribute that to the popularity of this place. I recommend ordering early because it tends to get busy. My top choice is the Beef and Green Pepper dish, which is superb.

We started our meal with the special house chow mien, which arrived in 30 minutes. The sauce was watered down and the meat looked pale and unappetizing. The chicken resembled Bernard Matthews turkey slices. Next, we tried the beef in black bean sauce, which also had a weak sauce and small, unappetizing pieces of meat. The portion size was disappointingly small. The BBQ spare ribs were decent, with the sauce served on the side as requested. However, the egg fried rice was incredibly bland and lacked flavor. We were so dissatisfied with the food that we threw it out after one bite of each dish. We paid over £25 and didn't even receive free prawn crackers. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience.

Whilst visiting my parents, Dad wanted to buy a chinese takeaway meal. I'm ridiculsyly fussy after so many bad experiences, so I stick to my favourite Thai takeaway near Ilkley. I phoned before ordering and spoke to the owner to ask about what options they had and the ingredients, he was really helpful. I ordered King Prawns with hot chilli sauce, it was very tasty with fresh ingredients, chilli's and loads of king prawns, not too hot but perfectly spicy, such a lovely meal..the kids just ordered sides and we was a portion of chips short not the end of the world, I phoned to let them know but they delivered some straight away. Some previous comments mentioned it was expensive, I honestly thought it was terrific value, not expensive one bit. Absolutely brilliant. Lovely food, great service, will most defiantly be ordering again on our next visit..well done South Pacific

Great workers, fantastic service,good price, took approximately 10 minutes even though it was extremely busy! really nice food, will be going back, you can't go wrong, best curry sauce I've ever tasted too!
