Isonoura Beach Resort - Wakayama

Nice and clean sandy beach with single palm trees giving some shade during the day. Good place to surf. We came in May and the beach was really empty and relaxing.

Pretty nice beach! Definitely the nicest one I have been so far here in the Kansai region. The water is very shallow so safe for kids. The waves were not that big or strong. There are a lot of surfers but you can still swim. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful beach mainly for surfing. you can either reserve for a surfing course or just take a rental surf board and have fun.

Tides there are extremely high and amazing!!! Also they have surfing areas separated from swimming area, so it's easy to enjoy both activities. Happily, we didn't encounter any jellyfish. Sadly, the water isn't clear and plastic trash can be found in the water quite often.

Wonderful place to learn to surf or to go body boarding. I rented a board right at the entrance to the beach, had an amazing time, and rode my first wave. It was very busy and had hundreds people trying to catch waves, but everyone was very polite and respectful towards each other. I will definitely visit again.
