Great place to hang for expats and new people after wakayama. there is a friendly Californian who lived in japan forever. try one of his Burger-Delicious!

At this place about a Google search for a bar because I and my friend have no idea where to go. we have seen the great reviews and now know why! dan is very friendly and gave us great information about where we could visit a strong long island on our short stay in wakayama. really interesting introduction to an eel fishing place as well!

The best bar in town: friendly owner, reasonably priced drinks and food, can use pay pay, good music and a comfortable place to meet locals Japanese and foreigners a like. If you are visiting or have just moved to Wakayama to live then this is the place to go to get all the local knowledge and to relax. Best time to go is about 10 11pm.

Dan, the owner was amazing. We were just visiting for a few days. We were looking for a cool place to grab some drinks. Dan was super nice and knowledgable. Western style cool dive bar. Drinks were strong and a good price. He's an expat fluent in English and Nippon.
