Bidra med feedbackOrdered a chocolate chip cookie a breakfast pie Both were absolutely delicious Prices here are low.. highly recommend!
While in town for a few days we were looking for a 'local ' place. We were pleased that they offered dining in, take out and eating on the patio (so many places still only doing take out). I tried a slice of Breakfast Pie with bacon and my wife tried a slice of Breakfast Pie with sausage. Both were great! The crust was flaky. The pie is eggs, potatoes, caramelized onions, green Chili 's and either sausage or bacon. Both were very good! We couldn 't pass up a serving of Bread Pudding very tasty had pecans and vanilla syrup. Great texture and wonderful flavor. We got some blueberry pie to go and ate that later in the day very flavorful and the crust was great as well. We hit a grand slam when we find this hidden gem. The staff were very pleasant as well and clearly knew a number of 'regulars '. I would absolutely come here again!!!
FANTASTIC slices of bread--pumpkin, lemon, seasonal goodies. It's true, take your local yelper's advice like I did and come here for baked yums instead of fighting for space/waiting time at Magnolia. This is such a great place for so many different purposes. I saw students here working and studying, people doing work, groups gathering to enjoy some good conversation, and some people just getting pastries to take home. It's truly a wonderful and welcoming place too. The service was A+ from the moment I walked in. The man at the counter was very sweet and kind when I asked him what breads were nut-free. That's huge for someone with severe allergies! PROPS! I love that about quality bakeries--they don't take these things lightly and they don't make me feel bad about it either! Their cookies are also quite delicious and not overly sweet. The rest of their food items looked so yummy, like their savory omelette and brunchy items. It seems like a good place to get a light baked good and also a hearty lunch meal. I loved their outdoor seating area--it's dog-friendly too. The inside has lots of seating too, but it does get loud with the echo-y walls. They have a gender-free bathroom which is very clean, and more outdoor seating in the garden back area. Parking was very easy for me to find along the street. I saw a gravel parking lot area across the street that seemed to be free for customers too. Wifi is strong and they have serve-yourself water, as well as drinks for purchase. Would highly recommend their yummy treats.
Love Everything about this place! You have got to order the breakfast pie it is amazing!!!! The staff is adorable, and super friendly. This place has such a fun cute family type feel. You feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The chairs tables with the hand painted flowers and overall decor are so cute! Its a super adorable farm house vibe with actual farm to table food! I will be back! This was my absolute favorite thing about my day trip to Waco! I will drive the hour and a half just to take people here.
When visiting Waco and looking for a great spot for breakfast, here is where you go. This place is in a quiet part of town and reuses an old building. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant offers current trends in foods such as Bulletproof coffee, vegan friendly options and gluten free. It gives the old feel while being new. I had the breakfast pie which is like a quiche. It was very delicious, fluffy and the flavors from all of the ingredients came through. My date had the baked oatmeal which she loved! The coffee options were quite good. Service was very friendly and offered lots of suggestions! The price was very reasonable!
