Bidra med feedbackI absolutely love Coriander! This restaurant is serving up dishes that I would never have thought to try. As someone who cooks a lot of Indian food at home, I usually prefer my own cooking to dining out at Indian restaurants. However, Coriander has truly impressed me with their rock solid menu. One dish you must try is the palak chaat, a crispy fried spinach with a sweet fruit chutney and yogurt. It's a light and delicious appetizer that you won't be able to resist, despite its calorie count. Another favorite of mine is the Lamb Biryani, which is baked in an earthen pot. The combination of spicy lamb and rice, paired with cool and tangy raita, is simply mouthwatering. The restaurant offers an elegant ambiance, delicious food, and great service, making it my top choice in South Jersey. And let's not forget about the most gracious hostess/manager who always makes my dining experience even more enjoyable on the weekends.
I have visited Coriander multiple times. The service and food are consistently excellent. It is my go-to spot for Indian cuisine when I am in New Jersey. The staff is friendly, and there is one waiter in particular who always shares a good joke. It is recommended to make reservations if you plan on dining there during the weekend. Luckily, I have been able to get a table even without a reservation when I have visited on weekends.
I found Sue's review hilarious - why would anyone expect to get into any of the restaurants in that shopping plaza on a Friday night without a reservation? It's their own fault. In my experience, the service has always been pleasant and I feel like family when I go back, even if months have passed between visits. The food is consistently excellent with a variety of choices at reasonable prices, and they sometimes play cool Hollywood background music. I've tried many dishes, but my favorite is the crispy spinach - it's heavenly. I was so impressed that I had to call a friend from the restaurant to share this amazing find!
Every time we eat at Coriander, we come away thinking we are so lucky to have such a fine Indian restaurant in our area. Everything about it is just great the service, the decor, the ambiance, and most especially, the food which is always consistently wonderfully prepared. The menu is large and interesting, with many dishes we haven't seen elsewhere. We have our favorites, which we tend to order over and over, but we've also been incorporating a new dish every time we go, and we have yet to be disappointed. If you need a push to think of coming over from the city, it might be fun to combine your trip with a movie at the Ritz; park once in the free surface lot and walk from theater to restaurant in two minutes.
The best Indian food ever!! The service was phenomenal, the food wonderfully fresh and tasty. Can't wait to get back for more!
