Ponte Rosso - VOGHERA

Can’t say the initial greeting was particularly friendly but our young waiter warmed up a bit later service was swift. Mid-meal, an older, more affable fellow, possibly the owner, popped over to check on our meal. Nice touch. The menu is classic Italian with a wide selection of antipasti, pasta, pizza, meat fish. All dishes were tasty. Excellent value too. The restaurant clearly has a good local following quickly filled up. There is some outdoor seating where you can watch the world go by but it’s on quite a busy section of road so we opted for the peaceful sanctity of inside. A good choice for local cuisine when in Volghera.

Hallo. I'm working as a chef in a kitchen too and I know that this pasta was more soup with pasta in and not pasta with a souce and the pasta was cooked a lot over then al dente, maybe their chef just forgot pasta in the water for a while. My steak was cutted on slices from well done to medium minus with cold meat on a middle. And the waiter forget how to smile.

Very interesting menù list, with a large variety, but some times the food is not like as expected. The owner is always available to suggest you the best associations.
