She was happy to accommodate our dietary needs and even mentioned that she can make almost any Mediterranean dish vegan upon request. We tried the delicious vegan risotto alla sizilien, made with roasted vegetables like olives, eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, and paprika. They also offer homemade vegan pasta dishes and individual roasted vegetables cooked in olive oil. We started with the sea top appetizer, which was fantastic with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and olives drizzled in olive oil. The local white and red wines were also great, with the white being our favorite. The quality of the food and service was excellent for the price, and we would definitely return to this restaurant if we visit again. The staff, including the owner, waiter, and gasser, were all knowledgeable about vegan options. The seating on the terrace overlooking the beach with palm trees was lovely. There is also a convenient food store nearby for guests staying at the hotel.
We were pleased to be greeted by the friendly owner who had a good understanding of vegan options and was able to modify dishes to suit our needs. It was a pleasant surprise to meet other local vegans on the island. The owner mentioned that almost any Mediterranean dish could be made vegan if requested in advance. We opted for vegan options from the regular menu, including a delicious Risotto alla Sicily cooked in a tomato sauce with roasted local vegetables such as olives, eggplants, zucchinis, mushrooms, and peppers. They also offered homemade vegan pasta dishes and roasted vegetables cooked in olive oil. The Mediterranean plate appetizer was exceptional, featuring artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and olives drizzled in olive oil. Local white and red wines were available by the glass, with the white being a personal favorite. The meal was reasonably priced in USD considering the quality of food and service we received. We would definitely return to this restaurant when visiting Vis again. The staff, including the waiter and host, were knowledgeable about vegan options. The outdoor seating area on the terrace overlooking the beach with palm trees added to the pleasant dining experience. Additionally, there was a grocery store nearby offering fresh fruits and food for guests staying at hotels.
