Lucky Oyster - Virginia Beach

I and my family have been regular customers here for more than 6 years and it is such a disappointment that has gone to the quality and quantity of food. Despite the cost increase, they still have to say that it is quite the entire menu. I have published the image of them, showing the only menu items that are affected. I ordered my usual Neptun recorder, which is $32. The record was the equivalent of a record at Captain D's. It had the usual large piece of fish, two small **** shrimps, 3 small scallops, 3 small oysters rockefeller and a small crab cake that could hardly be a part. My side was the garlic steak frits and they were fried deep in old oil. Half of the ordered foods were cold as the mac n cheese, pommes and shrimps. We were hungry to take care of it. Our waitress Dawn was great and immediately offered another side and did what she could, but as the waitress performs the records, why she still did. Why would you bring food to a table if you didn't eat it yourself? Besides, the raw oysters were great as usual. Just be fair from paying the full price for a little food and not as it was earlier. Although she told the manager, she still defended the small parts of ALWAYS. I told her the least she could do is to notify everyone and list more than the small list they have because it is not accurate and it is misleading. You're better off, Captain George pays a little more for better quality and quantity of food.

I was on vacation in VA beach for 11 days and we are at a lot of places. Hands down this was one of the best places! The food was so tasty, the staff were all super nice, and the service was fast despite it being busy. The prices are super reasonable for the fare and area, and the portions were ample in size. There was a wait at 6pm Friday, but not too bad of one. It was so worth it! Had to snap a pic of the chocolate lava cake, AMAZING! Left stuffed and very happy with some good leftovers.

One of our favorite dinner spots!! If you?re in the mood for a good salad I highly recommend Lucky O! Pictured is the chicken, bacon, and ranch sandwich along with the crab burger loaded mashed potatoes! Which will probably be the cheesiest loaded mashed potatoes you?ll ever eat! That makes them top notch in my book. I can?t ever go wrong getting the shrimp dinner either. Go ahead and stop by this local favorite?

We had a party in the private room at the Lucky Oyster. The service was great! The food was good too. I haven't eaten oysters in years. I'm not an oyster lover, but I will eat a few on occasion. When I saw them on my plate, I thought it was something else (I had The Outer Banks platter). Once I tasted it, I knew they were oysters. They oysters were crispy and well cooked. The shrimp and scallops were really good! They also had a nice crispy coating. The crabcake and fish were okay. For the side dish I had loaded mashed potatoes. Everyone who had them loved them.

Friendly greetings upon arrival. Server came quickly. Food was served very quickly after ordering. However, our server was not very friendly. It was fine, she did her job, nothing went wrong. There were several times I thanked her, for brining drinks and food, she had no response to any of them. Nothing was said, she just walked away. That was a bit odd to me. Oysters on shell were fresh. Loved it. Food was overall not bad. Not impressive but definitely not bad. No complaints.
