Kelly's Tavern - Virginia Beach

Kelly's at Haygood is our neighborhood sports bar for a casual dinner and drinks. I had the French onion soup and half a reuben sandwich. My husband had a burger and a perpetrator. And drinks. Everything was very good.

Magnificent experience ~ He waited for us 15 minutes. Then we were told that some of the cabins were not available because the employees already cleaned the tables. But we're here at 7:30 and the restaurant closed at 12:00. It took an hour until the food arrived. I specifically did not ask for cheese on my sandwich and I still had cheese that took another 15 minutes for them to Roto. They were out of all: Flatbread, turkey and even the sauce for their boom-boom-shoulder. My friend and I were very disappointed with the bad service. We will not return.

Tip: Don't say What do you want to people entering. It's the atmosphere of a tomb with the Ill-tempered bartender and 8 customers. The food is really good.

It was opening day of NFL so it was extremely busy. Our section had 2 waitresses and they seemed to keep up well with the drinks. They closed the kitchen for 30 minutes while we were there so they can catch up . Which I 've never seen before while working for a restaurant or being at one. My order of food never came out. The waitress blamed the kitchen of course but it wasn 't on my ticket originally so that means she simply forgot to put in my food. My friends ordered fried chicken sandwiches and they said theirs were over cooked but edible. All in all. Not the best experience. But considering how busy they were I 'll try again.

08/12/22. Stopped by this place about a week ago, got a half order of nachos. Filled me right up. The burgers are great also. Been to a bunch of them, this one is so different inside. Lots of video games kids could play. The staff was nice. I am not sure if they play UFC but if they did that would be cool.
