Harolds - Virginia Beach

Harold's is a no frills restaurant that serves American food, and I had a solid meal there today. I ordered a burger, fries, and beer. The restaurant is clean and the person who waited on me was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food didn't take too long to come out and was good. The thing that I really appreciated was the service and cleanliness. I'll be back.

We decided to give this restaurant a second chance. First time we were here we ordered a pizza and salads. Salad was great but pizza was slightly undercooked. Waitress was as awesome!! Second time was today (12/28/2021), we were hoping we could have a better experience. Unfortunately, our waiter brought our drinks out with his fingers all over the top of our glass. This is one of the most disgusting ways to serve a glass, a glass I l/we will drink out of. We had to use napkins and hand sanitizer to clean the top of my glass before drinking. I should have removed my family from the restaurant and went elsewhere. Being a family restaurant I wanted to help out the local restaurants and stayed. Our pizza arrived and again it was slightly undercooked and greasy. We ordered another drink and again the glass was placed on the table with his hands all over the top of my glass. I again cleaned the top of it but knew then I will never return this restaurant, if this takes place in front of my eyes it's hard telling what goes on elsewhere.

The very best pizza in the 7 cities area that I have had!! It is worth the wait. My husband always orders the chicken fingers appetizer. It is a breaded chicken breast, hand made with fries. Both will have you liking your fingers.

So sad to see that Harold's closed. We absolutely loved this restaurant! The Gyro platter was our favorite for over 20 years. We had a feeling back in April that it was the last time we'd eat there. 43 years is a good run. We will miss Harold's.

I 'll get straight to the point. What kind of restaurant has a debate, then ARGUES with a customer when we explained why the calamari was all breading, and was plain tasting. No I see calamari on that plate. (Points) yup it 's fine to me. That 's how it comes So is this normal? Where the WHOLE plate is breading? Fine I don 't want it. We were unhappy with it. The waiter (older Caucasian man) was RUDE didn 't offer to replace or take off bill. Aren 't hole in the walls supposed to be better tasting and welcoming? NOT THIS PLACE.
