Le Caillau - Vire-sur-Lot

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch in this magical location. Fabulous food and superb customer service. A truly special experience!

Our second trip to this beautiful restaurant. First was for dinner and second was with our family including two grandchildren. Due to the extreme heat we ate inside which was as good an experience as the exterior. Loads of space, air-conditioned to perfection and first rate service from Eve who accommodated a nut allergic child at the last minute as we’d forgotten to mention it. The food was superb as was the wine and I think every customer is made to feel so special. I can’t say anything negative about this gem of a place set in beautiful SW France where we’re lucky enough to live. I don’t know how they make it look so effortless but we’ve booked to go back for lunch. You can eat high end from the à la carte but the menu de jour is extremely reasonable and the food exceptional. In my opinion this is the best restaurant in the area by far.

Very beautiful setting, both on the terrace and in the efficient service room. Menu at first sight simple but perfectly executed, full of flavor and at consistent price. Gaspacho basil cucumber fishing and Dorade goat cheese and crunchy ddxriz cake, original and very good Mandarin breath

Restaurant located a few minutes from Duravel easily accessible. A beautiful set with a large closed courtyard. For our first arrival our table is under the preau. The setting is campagnard and pleasant. No blowers and insect destroyers. Concerning the wine map it is centered on the wines of Cahors with some great areas. The kitchen is inventive and very fine. The agreement of flavors is exceptional. A very good table to be recommended. We'll be back with pleasure.
