The paella is basic but good, although the crab didn't have enough meat to be worth the effort. Service was correct but a bit cool.
We chose to stay for the weekend in the delightful little hotel above the restaurant. The wonderful welcome offered there was not really matched by the restaurant staff: this was a pity all round, we were disappointed and the restaurant lost out on a possible return. Their attitude makes me think that this would not bother them there was no shortage of lunchtime customers but if somewhere opens at night the staff must not give the impression that you are an inconvenience. We did eat twice, giving it a chance to redeem itself at lunchtime. Vain hope. To rely on the quality of the seafood and to serve it in abundance is not the mark of a genuinely interested restauranteur. We were a couple, the racions were designed for table sharing and the refusal to serve half rations was a wastefully negative approach, rarely met on our extensive travels in Spain over more than a decade. The main course was an excess of decently cooked fish, untroubled by garnish. The bill matched the presentation of the food.
