Scenic Root - Village of Manlius

This place is the total package! The restaurant is gorgeous and so warm and welcoming. We sat in the heated enclosed patio that overlooked the swan pond which my kids loved! We started with the fried calamari and shrimp agro dolce and French onion soup which were absolutely amazing! The breading on the calamari was delicious! The shrimp agro dolce was beautifully plated and tasted even better and the French onion soup was full of flavor! I had the pappardelle Esposito which was probably one of the best things I've ever eaten and very filling! We ended our meal sharing a piece of the chocolate cake which was out of this world! The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Awesome experience all around!

This was my first visit to Scenic Root and I was very impressed. From the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the food, it was an excellent experience all around. My wife and were there celebrating a special occasion and it was a perfect meal to celebrate with. Thank you to all the staff, and in particular our server Tiffany, for doing an outstanding job!

Quiet Tuesday afternoon, beautiful view overlooking the swan pond, delicious food, fun drink options, and excellent service. Great experience! (On the pricier side for lunch, though, so more of a special-occasion place than a regular hangout.

Had a second wonderful meal here. The food was great. The service wonderful. I had stuffed eggplant it was great. I think a side, very small side of pasta would be great for all that wonderful marinara sauce. Hubby had the rib eye special. Very flavorful and tender. A tad too much blue cheese for him but perfect amount for me. Chocolate cake OMG was moist and not overly sweet. Looking forward to our next dinner there. I cannot say enough about servers. They work on all the tables and are very attentive not intrusive. Nice to have a good restaurant in manlius.

Went upstate from the Hudson Valley to visit my Aunt for the day. Such a pretty place. I'm sure it is even prettier in the warmer weather with the swan pond and outdoor patio. Food and service where fantastic. I had the hamburger with goat cheese and frizzle onion straws. Burger was cooked perfect. Very cozy place. Worth the 3hr trip!!!
