Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Every time I'm able to get to a Cracker Barrel, I usually get the same thing. Country fried steak!! It was my first time at this location. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with the steak. It was super dry! The gravy didn't even help. It was also a bit bland. The corn muffin was also hard. Don't think I'll be going back to this location. We came there for dinner after my grandson's soccer game. You don't know how I was looking forward to the hashbrown casserole that you carry and that is so rich and creamy. Well if it wasn't for the sweet server that we had I would have given this a single star. The server was so cheerful and helpful but the food was not very good. The hash brown casserole was dry and flavorless. I was quite disappointed and the other foods that we order lacked proper cooking and sauces. Yep the hash brown casserole was the worst of. The food was OK not great, not horrible, but the service was absolutely horrendous. Our waitress only came to take our order and to give us the check. If she would have came to check on how our first bites were tasting than we would have had the opportunity to tell her that we didn't have any silverware. After finally getting some we were able to eat. My food was a little on the salty side (but I knew that when I ordered what I did) it would have been great to get a refill on my drink, luckily after waiting long enough with no refill my ice melted so I was able to at least quench my thirst. I added pictures of what I found in the bathroom, not because it was unbearably filthy or anything, but because I was genuinely curious how or why someone was eating a candy bar in the bathroom and managed to lose it in the baby changing table. I also have to question how long was that there? Over all next time I think I'll just buy some food and drink in the gift store and get the hell out of there. Two of the items were out, couldnt order, when the food arrived at our table it was cold, they had to warm it up twice, we had a nice waitress but the service sucked. Plus since the food wasnt to our expectations we should of gotten some kind of discount on our food,$62.00 was high for 3 people. very unhappy with everything it was going south to Fdl, Wi on hwy 41.
