Bidra med feedbackMy family organized my son's 10th birthday party here, and while the kids certainly had fun I have to say that the food was decidedly average and the service pretty bad. The prices are not horribly expensive, but it costs too much for what it is. Perhaps better to eat somewhere else in Pachacamac.
We went as a couple last sunday. Its always nice to eat on the countryside and good weather. The place core area are the tables and kitchen and are well maintained. Service was good. However food wasnt that good. The menu is limited. We asked for the ribs and they were fine but not tasty tasty. The prices are really high so is not worth it. Additionally, the games area for children and adults to work around is not well maintained. The wall for climbing unused small and unattended. Not many animals.
This is probably the most expensive restaurant we went to in Lima. We were told it's a barbecue place but it was less that than a place where everything is grilled. It's in Pachacamac so for out of town visitors a convenient place to go if combined with a visit to the archeological site of Pachachamac. The restaurant is all outdoors, under tents and umbrellas, in a very nice, relaxed setting among trees and colorful life size cow sculptures. No doubt very good for families with small children as there is a fairly elaborate playground right next to it for the very purpose of keeping children entertained (there's a charge for some games such as the bubble ball). Also very good for large groups and parties as there are many semi private areas that can be sectioned off. The menu is quite simple and food ok, if you like grill meats and vegetables. The service was disorganized. We were there on a weekend so it was busy with many large families and maybe they were short staffed. Our initial orders took a long time to come, and additional orders never came. It seemed that most people were there to spend the entire afternoon so I guess no one's supposed to be in a hurry. At least they didn't charge us for our additional orders since they simply forgot to enter them. So is it worth going there? Only if you are prepared to hang out there all day - the environment is definitely very pleasant - and/or if you have small children because they'd love the playground. However, check directions carefully as it was off a side road and not the most easy place to find.
I visited Peru last year and had a chance to eat at La Huerta. I had several dishes as we all shared family style and we were all amazed at how good every dish was. I will definitely come here again and would recommend it!
I rated this place average because I really like the atmoshere being outside with tables spread out among the plants. They also have fun things for the kids to do (at an extra expense). PROS: nice setting CONS: Play area was dirty (dust)/ bathrooms didn't get attention in the 3 hours we were there, horrible service (they forgot about part of an order and took 10 minutes to bring the menus and then another 10 for beer), overpriced (25 soles for a kids portion of only french fries and chicken milanesa!). I had been to this place last year and really loved it because it was clean and the kids had fun, but this Sunday's experience made me say I don't want to go back. It's just too expensive for horrible service and dirty playareas. There are better places in Pachacamac for less money.
