Bidra med feedbackWe had a lovely dinner with great food and an excellent service. The waiter is passionate about food and wine and gave clear explanation about the available dishes and wines. Do not hesitate and check out this wonderful restaurant in La Pineda!
Wow we were passing this little gem while passing and stopped to read the menu. We were approached by the lovely restaurants manager who invited us in to try the food and we were so glad we did. He talked us through each dish that we enquired about and looked after us from start to finish. It was 3 courses for £25 euro each. I got the gazpacho soup, as a starter, which was like nothing I’ve ever had before. It was a cold savoury soup with strawberries and some other fruit compound in the middle and it was honestly so tasty! That was followed by mushroom croquettes and salad, which were delicious. And to finish I had a cream foam desert with ice cream and biscuit crumb, which was also delicious. My husband had the pesto tagliatelle to start, followed by chicken in a beautiful sauce which melted in the mouth and fell off the bone. His desert was a hand crafted lemon with lemon, cream and biscuit crumb and again, all was delicious. I forgot to take pictures of our mains. The food here is exceptional and our bill came to around 60 Euros with beers. Well worth the money! Honestly do try, you won’t be disappointed and if we are ever in La Pineda again, we will be sure to give this little Gem another visit. Fantastico! Gracias!
If you find yourself in La Pineda you must eat here. In fact, if you’re in Salou you should get a taxi and come and eat here. We are fortunate to travel quite a lot and generally I will have checked out the local restaurants to decide where we want to eat (although as a rule I don’t then write reviews but we made a last minute decision to take a few days in Spain and, on arrival, this restaurant happened to be almost opposite the hotel we were staying in. As it was our first night, it looked OK so we took a chance on it. Food was phenomenal (rice menu – from the presentation, the combinations, execution and the service, faultless. First night highlight was probably the dessert (Nuestro limón: mousse de cardamomo y lima con corazón de maracuyá but everything was incredibly good. Booked to go back two nights later for the taster menu (and upgraded the Rioja to the reserva… and again expectations exceeded. I am not sure how or why such a fabulous restaurant is here in a quiet seaside resort but if you are lucky enough to be here, treat yourself to a meal here – do it early in your visit as I suspect you may want to come back – we weren’t the only ones in this evening who had been in and eaten and were back almost immediately for a second visit.
