Bidra med feedbackWe stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and even though it was busy we were served quickly. The waiter spoke enough English/Spanish to help advise me on Gluten free food and I was more than happy to have his recommended dish of Chicken and chips. It was served quickly and whilst plain, simple food it absolutely delicious. Couple of glasses of house wine, 1 lager and food at a reasonable cost.
We went there for lunch because it was near the village centre. At first sight does not look very fancy but they deliver: good food, no no-sense and cheap prices. Opposite the restaurant there is a shop that deals with local products, also commendable
This is an okay place, conveniently located in the middle of the village and is probably walkable from most of the local hotels. The proprietor is extremely off hand and puts all sorts of little pates and bread on the table which, even if you don’t want them, you still have to pay for them. The omelettes we had were certainly freshly cooked but without a slight hint of imagination or skill going into it. The grilled chicken was tasty but tough. It is frequented by the locals who all seem to receive better service than the visitors, notwithstanding that they were not given all the unnecessary breads and pates to add to their bill! I find this system, a Portuguese curiosity, annoying sometimes. The additional unwanted items can sometimes add, unfairly, another €10 to your final bill.
