Fornaria - Vila Do Bispo

We had a very nice meal here when we stayed at the Memmo hotel. They have a nice menu. The cauliflower soup was delicious and the tuna tartare very tasty. Both our mains (pork neck and market fish with mussels rice) were also excellent and accompanied by nice wines (great selection of wines by the glass). We shared the chocolate mousse-very yummy but be warned, extremely rich. Fabricio our waiter was great, he was friendly and gave good advice about the wines and menu.

The food was great and the view was even better. The menu is small but has a lot to offer and if you are staying at the hotel it is nice to visit if you do not want to leave the hotel. We were also offered a free bottle of wine which was great! Cocktails were lovely too defiantly recommend.

This is a hotel's restaurant. The food is globally great, except the pizze, that we really did not enjoy. Prices are high for the region, but if you are lucky enough, you will e joy a great view over the ocean. Booking in advance is highly recommended if you intend to eat here. A place I would consider if staying g in the hotel, but ot otherwise, you will find restaurants with equivalent (or better) quality and lower prices in the area.

The second time we had a much better meal. The beef carpaccio was excellent as the Fornaria Salad and our pizza. We finished the meal with groundnut, which was delicious. The staff was very pleasant.
