Bidra med feedbackI live nearby and assumed to be a local guy so please take care about previous comments, it is absolutely not a top restaurant for Piacenza and surroundings...!!!! The location is good, on the beautiful hills beteeen Rivergaro and Vigolzone but food is absolutely avarage level. They quantity is huge and you always pay the same for the bill, no matter what you order at the end your bill will be around 30/35 €uros but quality is so and so Probably for people living in big towns like Milano it seems delicious food but it is not and probably who posted previous comments never had the chance to taste original quality food. Of course it is better than McDonald 's or Autogrill restaurant but do not expect a food experience. Moreover the ambient seemed to me more like a canteen (noisy rooms, long tables, many people shouting, kids screaming... To be asolutely avoided for romantic dinners.
Eating in Italy is always entertaining in so many ways. One of those ways is to do local time instead of your time especially if you are American. This is one of those places that really don 't open until 8 PM for the first reservation. We got there at 7 PM and were told where to sit and then.....kinda ignored for awhile...lol. About 15 minutes or so later, we were told the restaurant doesn 't open for another 45 minutes but, she could make a cheese and meat plate with breads etc...and a bottle of wine. We had a GREAT plate of meats and local cheeses and fresh breads that we made a meal out of. As it is a (not too sure of the term) Agrituristica restaurant where it must serve local produce and meats and cheeses etc, it is much more authentic than other restaurants. Everything is homemade there. I wish we weren 't so full of the meat/cheese and bread so, when the waitress came by and said the kitchen was now open and we could order; we had to decline we were so full! The meats were great as Parma ham is made near this area under the DOC designation....you don 't get this anywhere else! The cheese, I could tell, was locally made with one being a type of farmer 's cheese that was buttery and sweet. The gorgonzola was also local and creamy...not very sharp but good. The bread was a type of what we would call a fry bread served fresh and hot. One bite and the inside opened up like a pocket that you could slide the cheese and meat into....I would love to go back some day. OH....the owners were so welcoming to us we felt like friends.
Ensure to go there with empty stomach. It is amazing the amount of dishes that they suggest to taste typical flavours of this area. At this restaurant is possible to start enjoying fantastic cold cuts, continue with some splendid pasta, to pass on interesting stew dishes and finish with a selection of sweets and liquors. Apart from meals, during spring is possible to enjoy splendid sunsets
Farmhouse surrounded by greenery, very characteristic, the premises have stone walls and much wood. courses are various and the quality of food really remarkable. appetizers, first and excellent desserts! a place to attend several times
Beautiful evening among friends, fabulous chic but not elegant location, beautiful menu, very varied, a wine card so wide to look like a bible, excellent flavors and quality too! prices are actually very high you spend between 50 and 60 euros per head for a full dinner.
