Bidra med feedbackThis was honestly the best dining experience I've ever had in my life. Silvio and his team are just amazing, the service was impeccable from start to finish and the food was to die for. Every single dish was absolutely exquisite. My gf and I... tried the 9 courses menu and it was hit with amazing plates of fish and everything in between. You really have to try this, trust me you won't be disappointed!
We visited this restaurant to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We were shown into the main dining room as we’d booked a number of months in advance (others seemed to be seated out in the corridor). We chose the 5 course set menu. All the...dishes were perfectly executed and well thought through, the veal was cooked to perfection, as was the fish, scallops and all the desserts. There were some surprising elements to dishes with a chocolate snowman served with liver pate and brioche which actually worked beautifully. We’ve only been to one other Michelin starred restaurant and that seemed to be more experimental in its flavour combinations. This was pretty safe fine dining but can’t fault the execution we would have like more gastronomic surprises (this is being very picky, but at £300+ maybe that’s to be expected). Service was good and attentive. We also got to meet the chef too and completely blanked when he asked us about our favourite dishes (a bit embarrassing
It was the best degustationsmenu for us so far. the front way. a little in need of accusation but at first the (very good) service - the dishes are partly guided to the table in a runway manier, which sometimes seemed a little exaggerated. so it must be. oh yes - the lighting was a little too bright. but enough of the criticism. We had chosen the 9-speed menu - so without knowing what would be exactly served. that was not a mistake - perhaps with taking out the blue cheese that must be there in such menu sequences. also the weeping wee had been interesting and suitable - partly superb - we would have wished a little more of it in part.Of course much more is offered than only 9 courses, there are always "intermediate" courses, dessert surprise first, then pre-dessert, then dessert (a passage from the 9,) again and again small surprises from the kitchen are added. we had met silvio personally in his kitchen. a symphatic man and a great cook. The evening has made a lot of fun and enjoyable, what you want more.
About the ambiente can be steited - I don't like it. there is something too chick, the tables for two people too big.The service is excellent, as there is nothing to complain about. attentively without being expelled - how to expect it in this price class. to describe it in a set: all that was not on the map was excellent to extraordinary, all that we had ordered was very good, but neither surprisingly nor really projecting. What that is supposed to mean? now, all amuse gueule (and of which there were not only some at the beginning, but also between and at the end) were taste explosions. small, fine, partly surprising - really a pleasure. all the dishes of the 5-course menu were very good, but the amuse gueule could not reach the water by far, and unfortunately did not meet expectations. The best dish was certainly still the king's rabbe, which harmonized wonderfully round with topinambur, black-root and fountain cres. the healed butt was boring, the ochsenschlepp too salty and the cheese went completely under the whole round. The wine cellar leaves no wish open, however, too right he is famous (in the positive sense).Everything in all quite an experience that I need not repeat personally.
An evening for pampering. gediegenes ambiente - very competent service - presentation of the extra class - excellent quality of the food. we had the pleasure to meet silvio nickol personally - very friendly and grounded man.
